Bengaluru | August 23, 2026: The 11th Annual Conference of PediSTARS India, SIMULUS 11, concluded successfully at the Vydehi Advanced Simulation Academy (VASA), Bengaluru, bringing together national and international experts, healthcare educators, clinicians and simulation professionals for three days of immersive learning, collaboration and knowledge sharing. The conference was held from August 21–23, 2026, with a focus on innovation, contextualisation and accreditation in healthcare simulation. (Simulus 11)
Day 1: Faculty Development Programme Begins
The event opened with the Faculty Development Programme (FDP), bringing together national and international faculty on a common platform for the first time during the conference. The sessions created an engaging environment for healthcare educators to exchange experiences and explore simulation-based education.
Through interactive discussions and hands-on learning, participants focused on scenario design, debriefing techniques, assessment strategies, crisis resource management and effective simulation delivery. The day set a strong foundation for the conference, encouraging collaboration and shared learning among faculty from different institutions and backgrounds.
Day 2: Simulation Workshops Across Bengaluru
Day 2 witnessed a city-wide showcase of simulation-based learning, with multiple specialised workshops conducted simultaneously at leading healthcare institutions across Bengaluru. The programmes included CBME at St. John’s Hospital, FDP at VASA, NeoSIM at KIMS Cuddles, PeriSAFE Perinatology Workshop at Medicover Hospital, SimPACT at Rainbow Hospital, SIMVENT at Manipal Hospital, SIMWARS Preliminary Round at DHEE Hospital, SNAP at VINS & RC, STEP at Aster Whitefield, and Trauma Simulation at KIMS.
All these programmes were conducted in parallel and fully coordinated by VASA, demonstrating the scale and collaborative strength of SIMULUS 11. The workshops provided participants with practical exposure to simulation-based learning across different clinical specialties.
The day continued with the official inauguration ceremony at VASA, where the event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Mahesh B. Kottapalli, Advisor – VIMS & RC; Mrs. Geeta Narayan, MEC Chairperson; Dr. Jasmine, Principal, Vydehi Nursing; and Dr. Ramakrishnan (MS), Vydehi Hospital. The dignitaries formally inaugurated the event through the traditional ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking the beginning of an inspiring gathering dedicated to advancing healthcare simulation and education.
A key highlight of the inauguration was the digital launch of the SIMULUS 11 souvenir by the Chief Guest and esteemed dignitaries, commemorating the knowledge, collaboration and collective efforts behind the conference.
The day concluded with a gala networking event, bringing together national and international faculty, participants and healthcare professionals in an engaging setting to connect, exchange experiences and celebrate the spirit of collaboration that defined SIMULUS 11.
Day 3: Main Conference and SIMWARS Finale
The final day featured the main SIMULUS 11 conference, with expert-led sessions, discussions and knowledge exchange on the evolving role of simulation in healthcare education and patient safety. (Simulus 11)
The much-anticipated SIMWARS continued with its semi-final and final rounds at VASA, where interdisciplinary teams demonstrated clinical decision-making, teamwork, communication, leadership and crisis management skills in high-intensity simulated scenarios. (Simulus 11)
The conference also featured leading simulation partners and sponsors, including Laerdal, Maverick Simulation Solutions, Vishal Surgical, Surgical Science, Opsys Simulations, Augment Simulation, Medisim VR, Vygon and Aerogen. Faculty and participants visited the exhibition stalls to explore technologies, products and innovations shaping the future of healthcare simulation.
The event concluded with the felicitation of national and international faculty, recognising their valuable contribution to the success of SIMULUS 11.
