Program Outline
- ACLS training includes chest compressions, bag-mask device usage, and AED protocols.
- Clinical scenarios cover acute coronary syndrome and cardiac arrest.
- Participants learn to recognize and manage respiratory and cardiac rhythms.
- Critical interventions taught encompass defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and pacing techniques.
- Instruction includes airway management and pharmacology.
- Emphasis is placed on crisis resource management and effective communication strategies.
Certificates
Participants will receive Advanced Cardiac Emergencies Management workshop completion certificates from VASA.

ACLS Workshop Agenda
Day 1:
- 9:00 to 9:30 am: Registration and Pre-test
- 9:30 to 11:15 am: ECG (shockable and non-shockable) Rhythms, Defibrillation, Synchronised Cardioversion and Pacing, and Crisis Resource Management
- 11:30 am to 12:00 noon: Cardiac Arrest, Tachycardia and Bradycardia Protocols
- 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm: Case Scenario 1 and Debriefing (cardiac arrest).
- 1:00 to 2:00 pm: Lunch
- 2:00 to 4:00 pm: Airway Management Lecture and Practice
Day 2:
- 9:00 to 10:00 am: Chest Pain and Stroke Lecture
- 10:00 to 11:00 am: Case Scenario 2 and Debriefing (chest pain)
- 11:00 am to 12 noon: Case Scenario 3 and Debriefing (stroke)
- 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm: Scenario and Debriefing (Bradycardia)
- 1:00 to 2:00 pm: Lunch
- 2:00 to 3:15 pm: Scenario and Debriefing (Stable/ Unstable tachycardia/ Cardiac arrest- All together)
- 3:30 to 4:00 pm: Post-test and Feedback
