Vydehi Advanced Simulation Academy Shines at MAHE Research Day 2024
Vydehi Advanced Simulation Academy (VASA) made waves at the prestigious MAHE Research Day 2024 held on November 13 and 14 at KMC Greens, Manipal. Participating in the “Enrich” initiative—a showcase of cutting-edge research resources—VASA captivated attendees with its groundbreaking demonstrations and earned the First Prize for Outstanding Presentation and Content.
A major highlight of VASA’s participation was the live demonstration of the HoloLens, an augmented reality (AR) device redefining medical education. Attendees, including researchers, students, and professionals, experienced first-hand how this state-of-the-art technology integrates virtual 3D holograms with real-world settings to simulate complex medical scenarios. This immersive approach not only trains healthcare professionals in risk-free environments but also revolutionizes traditional medical learning methods.
In addition to the AR demonstration, VASA’s team engaged visitors with detailed explanations of their mission to enhance healthcare training through advanced simulation technologies. Informative brochures and flyers further emphasized VASA’s comprehensive offerings, while interactive discussions provided insights into the evolving landscape of medical education.
The event, organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), spotlighted six key themes in research: Clinical, Translational, Pharmaceutical, Medical Intelligence and Computing, Medical Device and Instrumentation, and Allied Health. VASA’s stall stood out for its innovative use of technology and commitment to advancing medical education, earning widespread praise.
