Empowering Students with Life-Saving Skills
As part of CPR Awareness Week (13th–17th October 2025), Vydehi Advanced Simulation Academy (VASA) successfully organized a week-long series of hands-on CPR training sessions aimed at promoting life-saving skills among students across Vydehi Institutions.
Over 150 participants from Vydehi Nursing Staff, VYMAK Degree College, and Vydehi Law College took part in the sessions held on 14th, 15th, and 17th October. The initiative focused on building awareness and confidence in performing CPR — an essential skill that can make the difference between life and death during cardiac emergencies.
Interactive Learning Through Simulation
The training sessions were conducted by certified simulation trainers at VASA using high-fidelity manikins and realistic simulation techniques. Participants practiced adult and infant CPR, learned proper compression methods, airway management, and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in emergency situations.
Through live demonstrations and guided practice, students gained hands-on experience following international Basic Life Support (BLS) standards, helping them understand the importance of timely and coordinated emergency response.
CPR Awareness Booth
In addition to classroom sessions, VASA set up a dedicated CPR Awareness Booth to engage a wider audience. Visitors and students from across Vydehi Institutions actively participated in live demos, practiced CPR techniques, and learned about the “Chain of Survival” — the critical steps that improve outcomes in cardiac arrest cases.
Building a Culture of Preparedness
The CPR Awareness Week initiative reflects VASA’s commitment to promoting a culture of safety, awareness, and preparedness beyond the healthcare sector. By training students from diverse backgrounds — nursing, law, and commerce — VASA emphasizes that anyone can be a lifesaver with the right skills and confidence.
👏 Kudos to the VASA training team and all participants for their active involvement and enthusiasm in making this campaign a success!
